- Annual Dinner 2026
- It is proposed to have a Club Festive lunch on Saturday 17th January 2026 12:30 for 13:00 at the Roundthorn Country House Penrith. Unfortunately, this looks like the only date they can make for Jan so please let Nigel (secretary) know asap so that he can confirm the booking. Price will be £32 for 3 courses or £29 for 2 courses.

- Challenge Ride 2026
- We are planning to hold a Challenge Ride again in 2026, the event is open to all cyclists and will offer probably 2 or 3 distances (about 50, 100 and 160km) with refreshments at the start, lunch time and at the finish. More information and entry forms should be available in the new year.
- Club Weekend Away 2026
- We have set the date for the Club 2026 Weekend Away to Osmotherley, North Yorkshire Moors, for Friday 4th Sept – Monday 7th Sept 2026. We had such a good time cycling there this year that all of us thought we would like to do it again and hopefully, with more advance notice, more of you will be able to join us. We are asking you to book your own accommodation for these dates based on people’s own budget and preferences.
- Annual General Meeting 2026
- Initially planned for Saturday 7th October. The AGM is often preceded with a ride and “bring and Share” lunch
Tri- Vets 2028
We will be planning for 2028 another Triennial Veterans’ Rides (or ‘Tri-Vets’ as they’re affectionately known) which is aimed at people aged 50 and over and take place every three years. The rides are popular social events, with hundreds of cyclists taking part all over the UK. The rides are fun and non-competitive, with participants having 12 hours to complete a 100-mile ride; we also also offer a 100km route to be more inclusive. It will include tea, coffee and lunch stops, following lovely routes through pleasant countryside on quiet roads. More information will be made late 2027 or early 2028.
